We are looking for a Web Application Engineer to join our SaaS and WordPress product team. You'll work on real-world products used by thousands of users, building scalable web applications, APIs, and backend systems with Laravel, JavaScript, and modern web technologies. We value engineers who can effectively use AI tools and coding agents to improve productivity, code quality, and system design—without replacing strong engineering fundamentals.

You won't just write code; you'll use AI throughout the development lifecycle, review and validate its output, and take ownership of the architecture, security, quality, and correctness of what ships.

What We're Looking For

Core Engineering

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Laravel, PHP, and web application development.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and application architecture.
• Experience building scalable and maintainable SaaS/web applications.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS/SCSS.
• Strong understanding of SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL); NoSQL is a plus.
• Experience with REST APIs, third-party integrations, authentication, payments, and webhooks.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong focus on security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• A strong mindset for building production-grade SaaS applications.

AI-Assisted Development

• Practical experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Codex.
• Ability to use AI for code generation, refactoring, debugging, optimization, testing, and documentation.

• Understanding of system design and SaaS architecture.
• Ability to break complex tasks into clear, agent-executable steps and provide effective context.
• Strong judgment when reviewing and validating AI-generated code, with ownership of correctness, security, and maintainability.
• Understanding of where AI can accelerate development and where human engineering judgment is essential.
• Interest in using AI to build intelligent features and improve development workflows.

Frontend & System Design (Bonus)

• Experience with React.js or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Knowledge of DevOps basics (CI/CD, Docker, cloud deployments).
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Exposure to queues, caching, microservices, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with WordPress and WordPress plugin development.

General

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English.

Educational Requirements

• Preferably a CSE/Computer Science background.
• Educational qualifications may be relaxed for an exceptionally experienced candidate. We prefer skill over degree.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Laravel-based SaaS applications, APIs, and modern web applications.
• Build and maintain advanced WordPress plugins and integrations.
• Write clean, efficient, secure, and well-documented code.
• Use AI tools and coding agents responsibly to improve development speed and quality.
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, authentication, payments, and webhooks.
• Analyze requirements and propose scalable technical solutions.
• Perform debugging, automated testing, and performance optimization.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers.
